| Avibags was established Aug 99, to fulfil fellow exhibitors requests for a lightweight alternative to the traditional wooden show box. It is a family business, run by David and Sarah O'Keeffe.
David designed the proto- type model that
has been made in small numbers for the past 4 years, for the Yorkshire canary
only. As the demand grew, it was decided to develop the proto-type to encompass
the needs of other exhibitors.
David looks after product design, deals with sales at trade stands and shows, and answers any bird related questions we are asked. Sarah looks after office procedures, and processes orders and shipping, as well as Web Master and answering your e-mails. Their children, Kirsty,(17) Jamin (15), and Sinead (10), all enjoy helping out at the shows, handing out Flyers etc., Jamin also helps to cut the support boards on the bench saw.
All work well as a team, which is especially important during the show season, when it is very busy. David's experience in bird keeping for most of his life, has meant that design problems have been anticipated and dealt with.
